I have a company that I am starting producing over thirty different custom designed gauge bezels. I make the patterns by hand and am going to cast them in a variety of different metals with a variety of different surface finishes: Aluminum, Nickel Silver, Show Chrome, and Anodized Aluminum. These designs are a throwback to the classic luxury auto dash panels of the thirties with a little of modern new edge twist. What I would like to know from all of you out there is: what would the demand for this product be? I have a great variation of designs from very sedate to off the wall wild. These are like nothing I have ever seen in the magazines. This buisiness has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I am getting close to the stage where I can start producing parts. I respect people like Little John Buttura and Boyd Coddington, but I think the whole billit aluminum trend has been overdone so many times that it is time for a new trend. I think that I have the look of my parts nailed down, but I wanted some input from other people on what they might want to see from this type of product and how much monet that the average guy might want to spend. Any input would be appreciated. My business will be located out of northern Indiana.
