First of all I'm new to this forum so I may be asking what most think is a dead question. Other than surfing the web; where should I be looking to get information on 32 to 34 Roadsters and Cabriolets, Ford and Chevrolet? What I'm mainly looking for is the differences between them, which are the most popular and/or valuable, why do some have a scooped nose where others are vertical without the point at the bottom, steel or glass, fendered or fenderless, where is the best places to look for the best bang for my buck, so on and so on. I already have some ideas of what I'm looking for as well as price ranges but want to gather more info before making a purchase. Any "Guidance" provided will be greatly appreciated. fatdog68

Not a "dead question" too many questions. are you wanting to build a car, or buy one turn key? 32 fords are the most common and probably the cheapest build. but if you dont like common..... (i like em) you have about 5000000000000 different options just with the 32! its all about what you want to spend. EBAY is a great place to look. give us more info on what you want. unless your like me and you want them all. then we have a probablem.

Yeah '32 Fords are the most popular, and hence the easiest to build, yet maybe not the cheapest. Find what you like and do that, don't be swayed by fads or things like that.

Thanks for the reply. With my schedule it looks like I'm going the Turnkey route. I knew I was throwing a lot of questions out but wanted to get things pointed in the right direction. At this point in time I'm kinda bouncing off the walls with all of the possibilities and combinations. As far as what I want; I like the fendrless, highboys, lowered somewhat, with some power to it and a more modern wheel. I don't know if Highboys had/have the (what I call "scooped & pointed" grill but like that look. I prefer the roadster over the coupe but would like a top rag or removable hard but wouldn't really want it on much. As far as colors go I lean toward a one color exterior but could go for some less than wild graphics and pinstriping. Like chrome vs. aluminum wheels. I'm not rich but would like a driver that works and looks good. I want to get in it and go! I'll continue my wish list in additional posts later but guess that does it for now.

Thanks for the reply. Like I said in my original post while I don't have enough information to be knowledgable about these cars I do have a semi-definite direction that I want to go with one. I would just like to learn the history of them, why they are so popular, what different configurations are most desirable and usable and so on. I will continue to respond the the responses and dig for the information. Thanks again!
