I would like to know if anyone could help me in locating a fellow who was a hot rod builder back in the 1970's. His name is Dan Woods. I was told that he is now living in Pomona, CA. He is probably retired by now.

I will be in California in February and would like to hook up with him to talk about a project he did in 1970 called the Ice Truck. This was a hand built C-Cab type truck - Very Cool.

Anyway, I did an internet search on him but came up empty. I thought I might try the next best thing and get in touch with someone in Pomona.

Does anyone know of him or put me in touch with someone who might know how I can get in touch with him?

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Alex

Seems like I read where he did some work for Jim Jacobs of Pete and Jakes fame lately.  Other than that, If I remember right his old company was Dan Woods' Contemporary Carriage Works.  More trails to follow.

On page 240 of February 2008 issue,  Dave Bells cartoon collage showed "Cerny Bros of Compton" I would like to know if the Cerny Boys (Roger, George, Orville, and Dave) still are painting. I was trained and grew up in they're shop in 1963 to 1965.  The old man was there then (George senior).  Also bell depicted "Johnie's Broiler",  I think it was called Harvey's Broiler.....need info on these items.

I saw him a few years ago at the GG car show in Pleasanton. I'm not sure where he lives.
