Hi there,
We live in Western Australia and are interested in joining the Road Tour in 08 or 09, can you tell me is there a restriction on what type of ride you drive?
It sounds like a blast!
Thanks

Greetings,

My wife and I were on the 1st tour in 2006 and we had a blast.  You get to meet a lot of great people.  We'd like to see you on one of the tours.

I'm not in charge, but I believe you can drive any car on the tour, BUT depending on the car shows, you may not be able to enter your car (in the show).  For instance, most NSRA shows require post 1949.  MSRA (Minnesota) which is a stop on one of the tours requires post 1965 (1964 and before).

Hopefully, Jerry Dixie, who leads the tours, will correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the reply. We are hoping to bring our 1930 Model A Tudor over with us but that will depend on cost. Our other option is to buy a vehicle while over there.
We love visiting America and love the car scene. You are so lucky to have so many events to choose from.
Regards

Wow would love to see your '30 Model A run in the Road Tour. Have any pictures?

Hi Folks,

It would be great to have you join us on a Tour. We had some folks from Australia join us last year in their late model rental car. My good friends Ken and Sue from the very first group Road Tour in 2006, are correct. You do need to check the year restrictions for the event we are heading to. Your Model A would qualify at all of this years events.
    Hope you can join us,

Dave,

It is possible to join us along the Road Tour route on any of the Tours. Of course we would like you to join in the entire weeks fun but we understand that personal time and distance restraints may limit your travels. It will be necessary to register for the particular Tour and the registration fees are the same for all or part of a Tour. Hope to see you this summer.  Jerry Dixey

Jerry, We plan to join your tour @ Memphis and finish through Bowling Green.
We live just a couple of miles South of Comp/Cams and between G. Poteets place.  If you would be interested, you could make our home a pit stop for restrooms/refreshments or any needed repairs. No lift, but garage, ramps, jacks, etc.

I'm interested in joining a tour but I would like to know what happens at the end of the tour?  Do most of the participants head back to their respective cities together in a caravan or does the tour just break up?
