I've read in a couple of places that they are planning on getting rid of the old Chevy Pickups from Old Navy. I heard some of them are pretty nice, and some are pretty bad, anyone have any more ifo on these?

this i clipped from the jalopy journal /snip called the cooperate # and spoke with an individual she informed me that currently not all stores will be getting rid of them. Those that are scheduled to remove them are told to return them to the "supplier". She advised me these should not be being sold to the public. The supplier is buying them back - probably for another "prop".
They were built by the Alan Brasington Network out of New York. You can visit their website:
www.brasington.com
As far as being worth anything they do have all the sheet metal, glass, suspension, rear end housings, wheels, tires, and repoped or rechromes trim... If a guy could get them cheap it would probably be worth it./ __________________

Yes, you're correct - Old Navy has remodeled all of their retail outlets and has contracted several companies to removed the trucks from the stores. You're finding them on eBay and being hauled down the road in certain areas of the country. None of them have motors, transmissions or wiring, but are intact in terms of body, suspension, rear ends and interiors. All have lots of chrome...
We have 2 sources that you can buy the trucks from - and they will run you around $2500 each. There were 1500 of them disposed of, but probably less than 200 left.
Most people are buying them for restoration, however they are good for parts too. The truck is probably worth more parted out, but there's more work involved.
Well, if you're interested in buying one or more of these trucks, please email me at m.brant@yahoo.com for more information. Of course, you'd be responsible for hauling the truck out, which will cost you based on your location. The trucks are currently in the Southeast, Tennessee and in the Northeast near Boston.

Good to hear that they are being sold off instead of just being sent to the crusher.

Hi all, I bought one of these Old Navy Supply Co trucks off Ebay from a bloke in LA 12 months ago. He promised me all paperwork IE: Title ect. was in good order and also claimed it was ready to export . Nothing could have been further from the truth. He bull sh#ted for over 8 months . It was so bloody frustrating especially as I had paid him the $3500 US. I ran into a mate here in Sydney Australia who put me onto a guy in LA called Rudy Martinez. He runs a little company called Modern Performance Classics somewhere in LA. I tell you all, Rudy is the best friend a Rodder could have. Not only did he arrange all the appropriate paper work for me but he also stored the pickup at his shop until it was ready to be shipped. All this and I still don't know what he looks like nor did he charge me a dime!. What a guy. The brotherhood of Rodders rock! If you are in LA and go to his store (West Anaheim?)tell him Aussie Russell say's hi! Oh, and the truck - well it's straight as a die and 100 times better than I hoped. It's Navy Supply Co paint will remain and it will soon have it's 1986 Camaro running gear slipped into it! WooHoooo! Russ

Five of them moved in down the street from me here a couple years ago. He had to finally after sitting on busy road, sell them as group. I stopped and looked and what i saw was just what they were"display items"They had no frames under most and the ones that did the sheet metal was all "final weleded on.the only good thing was a couple fenders, few doors no box's. the grilles were exceptional and a few bumpers the same. but for a decent project, for yourself. They were not worth the $2000.00 he was asking these were by the way only in upper toledo, what happened to the rest of these trucks is anybodys guess. hth bob s
