I have 60 Chevy p/u with a 6cyl 235 engine that I want to put powerglide into. Is this possible? Will it bolt right up? I know I might have to move a crossmember and the linkage might be challenge. My friend's tell me no problem but I'm still not sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thank's.

It "is" possible, do you know the year of the 235 and which case on the powerglide (castiron or aluminum) ??

Hi Suzi, thank's for replying. The engine is original equipment 6cyl 235 in a 1960 chevy C10 p/u. I have not purchased a powerglide tranny yet but would certainly lean toward's an aluminum cased unit. Thank's again.

It will bolt up fine. Remove the pilot bearing (from center of crankshaft)
Make sure you get all the t.v. linkage with your alum. powerglide.

Glad to help.  If you get a glide '67 up you will also have to change the front yoke on drive shaft.

If your looking for a good Powerglide trans, I have one my buddy pulled out of a 1955 Chevy 2-door post. Was rebuilt a couple of years befor he got it with no time on it. I'd like to get $400 for it. If your interested, message me
