While looking at my June issue of SR,when I got to the part showing the 59th grand national roadster show, it shows a roadster that looks like the speedwagon with the fenders removed and the top chopped off, is it or isn't it the speedwagon?  

No that is not Fink's Speedwagon, although the style is similar and the color near the same. The car you are thinking of is Robbie Azevedo's 29' woodie roadster, which was up for the AMBR award. Robbie is a fairly young guy, expect big things from him in the future.
