Hello to everyone. I have a question. I have a 39 pontiac coupe that i would like to build. I have a 350/400hp ready and now I wonder, should I proceed.
How is the fuel prices and our present economy affecting the hobby? Do you find that the fuel prices and the relative high price of everything killing the hobby? Are the values of these great cars dropping like a rock. Have you stopped building your vehicle due to the economy? Are you considering selling it all? I would love to hear your thoughts. Your thought will help direct me.

I've got eight years and way too much money invested in my project so I'm not stopping. I already do alot of things to cut back on fuel costs (I can pay it I just won't give in to the pirates) and I'm sure it will cost just as much when I can finally drive...later this summer I hope, but it's not like I need to drive it every day to get to work. Just returned from the NHRA Nats and it looked like a lot of cars but was told attendence was down by about 3000, so I'm sure fewer drove cross country. It reads as you have a good start it comes down to do you want to. Do what you really want.
