I own a 1940 Packard with a 5.0 Chevrolet engine in it.  I am in the process of installing the accessories on the front of the engine.  When the power steering pump is bolted up, there is less than 1/4 inch clearance between the pump body and the steering box.  Is there an alternate way of mounting the pump higher or lower to gain some clearance.  I only run an alternator and the power steering pump.  Skyraker

Can you run a power steering pump that requires a remote reservoir? This may give you some tolerance.
