I was looking through the 4/09 issue and enjoyed the how to articles. I was thinking though, how to articles are for the people who like doing it themselves. So having an article on a pro shop installing a high dollar part doesnt seem to hit the target. I mean, how many people have the pro shop equipment at home? the ones that do may be far and few between. The ones that have the money to own a pro shop setup, could in fact just have somone else pro shop)do it.I guess my point is this,I feel that the how to articles should be geared towards the people who either love to do it themselves or have to.Dont show that $1000 chromed widget being prepared with expensive setups and tooling.Show how to make from scratch(with a disclosure for legal purposes)or show what works off of what donor car and how to install it with only simple tooling(handtools, torches, tig, mig etc.)Building a car article is great as long as it doesnt become a kit car.($30k in parts ordered and heres how it all fits.. )NO, show how we can get newbies and keep others in this hobby by helping us all build our dream cars within the pocketbooks of the average income american and not someone who owns a company or is a retired army colonel who gets his $150k a year retirement.
