My wife wants an old car vs a new car......

I think I've lost my mind.
Went to look at new cars today as my wife's car is getting tired and then she tells me that she wants an older car fixed up .
(she supports almost 40 vehicles in inventory) I know true love 
She then proceeds to pick out a 56 Buick wagon that I have and tells me to fix it instead of a new car.
Then she explains to me that we can put the monthly pament into it and improve its " comforts/ conveniences" etc
Did someone slip something in my drink today or am I a lucky MoFo??
Never mind, Don't answer that...
My mind is spinning out of bounds, got to strike while the iron is hot.
Its a big project but I have a 69 electra 225 runner that could be the mechanical donor. !?
What advice (opinion) do you have...?

I think it's amazing
Its one of my goals to build my wife a car to drive to the shows with me...She'll get more attention then you no matter what you drive...lol
Just make it a dependable so she wont regret later
