HI, I am looking for a Keyless Ignition system like in new cars. To replace my stock ignition switch with a push button start. My 56 Chevy has no column-lock. I want to install this my self with a new wire harness power windows and locks all at the same time.

A friend of ours put one of these in his Jeep. If you check drag racing sites I'm sure you'll find one. I'll find out where he got his. Give me you're email and I'll keep in contact with ya. Rose

Yes!!! That is exactly what I have been looking for my 1961 Impala. Just the start button alone is the coolest one I have ever found. It is called StarDrive and I talked to this guy info@autohub.com, He said around $400 dollars for the whole kit and will be ready very soon. I'm on the list for one of the first.

Originally my thought over a year ago was to find or implement some sort of C6 corvette style sensor/transmitter, with a aesthetically pleasing start button. Until recently I had given up on creating a somewhat affordable keyless ignition system similar to that of the C6. Here is what i have found tonight completely wasnt even looking for it. By the way the link ^^ in the thread was not able to be found on youtube for me so here is what i found:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=912dXCfqkxM&NR=1 or just google guarddawg keyless entry. i also found a kit from flaming river, however the guard dawg kit is roughly half the price and is fairly aesthetically pleasing. Before I found this guard dawg, i was just going to implement a push button start of my own, commonly used one is the Honda S2000 start button, and i recently found the nissan altiman push button start to be kind of cool to implement the viper alarm i have into the led bezel indicator here i found this on youtube as well:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Crwy2X0bJO0 or just go to youtube and search: ignition push button for honda even though its for a nissan altima
for custom dashes though i think u guys might like the look of the guard dawg, looks like a lil stainless button with a led ring of blue or green around it. anyways, dont know if that helps but im curious as to what u guys might think, plz respond

I found this StarDrive keyless ignition will work just like the C6 Vett. With the passive RFID remote and one push button that does every thing and looks amazing. Here is all the info http://www.auto-hub.com/

Keyless Igniton systems can really vary in price. Auto-Loc has a unit for approx $200.00 depending upon options wanted. It uses a FOB to activate the sytem
Flaming River has a system for approx $700.00 which is basically a card (Ignitor) that you can have in your wallet (purse) that will allow the units push button to start your vehicle.
