I’m looking for the Street Rodder article on the Cadillac stroker motor that was published sometime in the 1999 – 2002 time frames. It had 10 to 12 months of articles. This engine was eventually given away at a drawing. It made 630ish lbs. TQ at about 3200 RPMs. I can’t find the article anywhere.
I’d like to see another Caddy 500 build up article as well. However, this time, I’d like to see one built by MTS for a look at what a Caddy engine developer can do when not limited to a low RPM range. They could even do two motors; one for the 4800 RPM range and one for the 6500 RPM range. I’d also like to see these engines installed in a worthy car with a strong Th200-4R and tested for 0-60, quarter mile, street manors and gas mileage.
Another idea would be to use the same Rat Rod in a crate motor shootout and have MTS, the CAD Company and Potters send $3,000, $7,000 and $10,000 engines for testing and comparison.
