I have been looking for an S10 or Blazer 8.5 rear end to put in a 1933 Chevy.  It is the right width at 54 1/2".  Not having any luck at the local wrecking yards.  There are a lot of 7.5 rear ends.  Is the 7.5 strong enough to take about 300 HP?

I will be gone for Thanksgiving, so may not get back to someone until next week.

Thanks form any help.

I have a S10 Blazer 7.5 with a richmond gear in my S10 with 400 hp and have no problem with it. The S10 Blazer Rearend is a lil narrower than the S10 Truck rearend which I'm going to use in my 48 Chevy Fleetline because I want wider tires in the back... but it will work.
