Interior Window Crank types

Im looking to upgrade my internal window cranks and door levers on my 35 chevy. Whenever I look for Billet cranks, they specify "Pre 1948" and "Post 1948". does anyone know what Chevy (and Ford) did to their window cranks between 48 and 49 that made a difference in how replacements are ordered?

I found the difference, Pre 48 used 7/16 spline, Post 48 use 1/2".
