I have a 1936 Chevy Truck Street Rod. I would like to drop the front end. I have been searching for some time now and have not found anything.Has anyone dropped the front end using the orginal axle? I have already converted to disk brakes.Iwas going to invert the main leaf on the spring, but that may cause clearance problem with the frame.
There are certain people who can drop your front axle. If search on the web, you can find who does this close to your area. The Chev straight axles can be dropped if done by a professional.
Hi...Can you tell me what rotors you used on it ????? Thanks.....John
I got a kit from wildwood it included hub and bearings. The rotors and hubs were all one casting.I did have a problem with the hub cap supplied. If you go to hotrodders.com , click on Journals, scroll to the bottom and click on To view a list of all Hotrodders Project Journals, click here , then scroll down to and click on Chief36chevy’s Journal. There you can view my project which includes the front disk breaks.Hope this helps.
