Hi guys, first post. I just bought a 'glass '33 Ford. I need to get the body off so I can it take to the local rod shop for front and rear suspension. First, the underside of the floor pan is shiny black gel coat and I don't want to ding it up. I was going to use some carpet covered lumber and try to carefully lift each end of the body until I can get some 4x4's under it and rest it on jack stands. In the rear I can get right next to the frame, but in the front, the cross member is in the way. I could get a piece of carpeted 2x12 under it but there won't be much of the body on it. I don't have an exposed beam in my garage so I can't use a chain hoist. Any suggestions? Thanks!
