Happy new year guys. I have a question about tires and wheels. I drive a 1946 fleetmaster coupe. The front end is all stock. The wheels are stock 16'' and the tires are 650/16 96p wide whites and are bias ply and are 281/2'tall. For better handling I want to go to a 15' chrome wheel with 15' radial tires with hope that they will lower the car a little.
Would anyone know how wide a wheel and tire I can run and if the tire is 25' would they lower the car by that 3' or would it drop down 1/2 that?

do you still have SIX lug bolt pattern?? on a 5.5" bolt circle...

yes I do have that pattern. I'm mostly worried about the back spacing.

why not just call over to coker tire company... they have rims for cars also.. will know what fits what..

I already did e-mail Coker and they said they would be glad to sell me the tires and wheels but said they couldn't give me any information I was looking for.
