Is a 97~00 chevy 350 5.7l the best way to go when building a 350 as it is already rollerized ? or would it be better to start with a 010 4-bolt, I understand the vortec heads are already a great head to work with and there is money to be saved with the rolerized cam. (I am not going to run fuel injection) Thank-you.
vortec heads will fit on either block...intakes are easily available..roller lifters are much better in these days of low percentages of zinc additives in the oil to prevent cam lobe failures..people have requested enough that Dart has actually created a block that accepts conventional parts... and LS cylinder heads.. its at the SEMA show now as i understand..it all depends on what the final use is... and what look you are going for..
Thanks for the reply I went with the 5.7l I think its the best bang for my buck, going in a 55 belair 2-door h/t.
